Podcast, or iPodcast?

A Podcast is a radio content broadcasted on the Internet, and downloadable on the computer, on video/audio portable players, etc. There are video podcasts as well. At first, it was initiated by apple, as it’s named after the famous iPod. But it’s not a trademark, unless Apple can prove they own the word “-pod-”…
Podcasts are very useful to listen to a radio broadcast we missed. I use very often the France Inter broadcast: 2000 ans d’histoire

About the trademark issue, I found a website discussing the controversy.

Apparently, Apple has an open trademark application for "pod", but no corporation or individual holds a trademark to the term "podcast."

Well, here is my first blog; so cool!
